Bourgogne Rouge, Hautes Côtes De Nuits les Dames Huguette 2019, Pinot Noir
Blackcurrant, dark cherry notes with a hint of violets and mint on the nose. Fresh minerality, fine tannins and an underlying cherry and liquorice finish.

2019 is considered to be one of the best years in recent Burgundian vintages – it was hot, but not too hot year when the vines performed very well. The wine has full dark cherry flavours, fine tannins and would go really well with game, roast chicken, pan-fried duck breast and roast lamb. It is ready to drink but can also be drunk over the next five years.
Bourgogne Rouge
Behind the bottle
Les Dames Huguettes is, simply, the most famous parcel of vines in the Hautes Cotes de Nuits. This well-known terroir lies above the winding hilly road that leads from Nuits Saint Georges to Marey-les-Fussey. Several well-known domaines have vines in this climate, and we were very pleased to be able to source some wine made by Didier Simon from their parcel in this exceptional climate.
