Our Rows 1–37 Pinot Noir is made only when the growing season allows this small and remarkable parcel of the vineyard to reveal something truly different.
Located in the South Block, Rows 1–37 are the oldest vines on the estate, with approximately 2,000 vines planted in 2000 across just under one hectare. The parcel is predominantly planted to clone 777, alongside smaller plantings of clones 5, 115 and 667. Over the years, we have consistently found that some of the estate’s most compelling wines come from these old vines.
The 2024 vintage was harvested by hand on 3 April. The fruit underwent a 30-day ferment comprising 75% whole bunch, 5% destemmed and 20% whole berry, followed by 10 months in French oak barriques, 28.5% of which were new.
