Burgundy
Bourgogne Blanc, Hautes Côtes De Beaune 2019, Chardonnay
This wine has lovely spicey notes, followed by floral overtones and a degree of minerality. It comes from AOC vines, in the Hautes Cotes de Beaune, but very close to Marey-les-Fussey (which is in the Hautes Cote de Nuits). This wine is ready to drink now and would be great with a variety of Asian food, fish and seafood such as grilled crayfish and prawns, as well as an apéritif.
Behind the bottle
A well-rounded Chardonnay with stone fruit notes of white peach and nectarines, guava, fresh lemon, ripe apple, pear and almonds. On the palate, it is freshly balanced with a saline minerality and finishing off with a crisp concentration of fleshy stone fruit, honeysuckle, and white spice.
