In celebration of Bastille Day, our French heritage at Domaine Thomson, and the upcoming Paris Olympics, we hosted an exquisite lunch for our esteemed wine club members and local community.
Local culinary chef Gabi Lind of The Kitchen Garden Central Otago crafted a menu that flawlessly blended rustic French flavours with the finest local produce.
Guests were warmly welcomed with a glass of our elegant Crémant de Bourgogne.
The gastronomic journey commenced with two exquisite entrées: a delectable goat cheese encrusted with hazelnuts, perfectly paired with the crisp and mineral Saint-Romain Combe Bazin 2020. This was followed by a luxurious Pinot Beef Carpaccio, adorned with parmesan and locally sourced truffles, and complimented by the rich Moulin-à-Vent 2021.
For the main courses, diners savoured a succulent chicken with pearl onions, paired with the refined Domaine Thomson’s Bourgogne Blanc 2019, and a tender Lamb Noisette once again harmonised with the delightful Moulin-à-Vent 2021.
